Line to launch five ‘Gamer First’ NFT games in 2023

Line Next, a subsidiary of the company responsible for the widely-used Asian social app Line, has announced its plans to release five games on its Web3 gaming platform Game Dosi in the latter half of 2023. The United States-based company, which focuses on NFTs, has revealed its intentions to expand its offerings in the gaming industry.

What are Sweet Monster Guardians?

Several new Web3 games have recently been released, including Sweet Monster Guardians, Vestria the Last Order (VLO), KEROZ, Drawship Kingdom Reverse, and Project GD. The latter is an internally-developed IP that is expected to expand into multiple games in the future.

According to the company, each title boasts distinct game mechanics. Movisoft, the developer behind Sweet Monster Guardians, has recently announced that it will be the first Game Dosi title to offer NFT pre-sales. This browser-based strategic defense game revolves around the strategic placement of unique characters.

In the virtual world of VLO, players have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a collective role-playing adventure. They can band together and embark on exciting quests as a team. Developed by SIS Studio, the PC and Mac game exudes a Final Fantasy-style vibe.

For fans of dungeon-crawling “roguelike” games, there’s a new option on the market: KEROZ. Developed by Superflex, this action-adventure game is available on both mobile and PC platforms. Gamers are being presented with a unique chance to earn NFT rewards through avatars, machines, and dolls in Drawship Kingdom Reverse. The browser-based game originates from Nolatency Limited.

Project GD remains shrouded in mystery, but according to the Game Dosi website, it will be a competitive trading card game (TCG) featuring NFT-based decks of cards. Further information is currently unavailable.

Prizes and giveaways

The official launch of Game Dosi has been scheduled for May 18th. Upon its launch, the company announced its plan to provide a membership sale featuring gold and platinum-tier NFT passes. These passes will bestow exclusive benefits, including early access to the latest games.

Game Dosi has announced that it will be offering NFT rewards from its upcoming Project GD game, in line with its ethos of “Gamer First, Web3 Next.” Gamers have the opportunity to earn rewards by fulfilling missions that are available on the company’s community website. The deadline for completing these missions is May 31st.

Game Dosi has announced that it will be offering a second opportunity for users to win NFT prizes through a raffle. Participation in the raffle will be determined by the number of sign-ups on the Game Dosi Discord platform, according to the company. Game Dosi announces that a secondary lineup of additional titles will be released in the second half of this year, featuring globally popular content.

The blockchain-based game, Dosi, has been developed on the Finschia blockchain, which was formerly known as Line Blockchain and Link Chain. Finschia has its own native cryptocurrency called LINK.

Line brand has previously ventured into the world of NFTs. In a recent announcement, IPX, the parent company of the beloved Line Friends characters, disclosed a new collaborative partnership with Chiru Labs. Chiru Labs is the company responsible for the Ethereum-based NFT project, Azuki. Two popular brands are teaming up to explore potential content and items opportunities that will showcase their respective intellectual property.
