Soulja Boy has been actively promoting scam NFT projects

According to the findings of internet sleuth ZachXBT, the “Crank That” rapper has promoted dozens of NFT initiatives on social media, some of which turned out to be rug pulls.

According to the investigation of internet sleuth ZachXBT, rapper-turned-crypto enthusiast Soulja Boy has promoted dozens of crypto coins and NFT projects, some of which turned out to be scams.

Soulja Boy, best known for his 2007 hit “Crank That,” has shown interest in cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens in recent years. The rapper boasted about bitcoin gains on the 2018 song “Bitcoin” and released a collection of 3D NFTs this month.

Soulja Boy tweeted about crypto projects and NFTs 73 times since March 2021, according to ZachXBT. ZachXBT mentions a March SEC complaint against Soulja Boy and other celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Jake Paul, Akon, and Ne-Yo for promoting tronix (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT) without disclosing compensation. He pumped a now-defunct token called RAPDOGE in 2021.

According to ZachXBT, promotions of tokens such as SaferMars have been identified as rug pull scams. Soulja Boy’s social media promotions have reportedly earned him a staggering $730,000, as estimated by ZachXBT.
