To raise funds for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, the PFP initiative will release (RED)-themed merchandise.

Non-fungible currency (NFT) collection based in Solana Okay Bears announced on Tuesday that it will work with RED, a global health organization, to raise money to fight AIDS and other health problems around the world.

The two entities are collaborating on a merchandise collection, releasing hoodies, t-shirts, and wristbands using the intellectual property (IP) of both identities. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Global Fund, an organization that provides resources for the fight against AIDS.

According to a press release, Peter Gould, the Chief Communications Officer at Okay Bears, stated that the NFT collection represents a significant “culture shift” in the industry, as it employs NFTs to power philanthropy.

“We’re proud to collaborate with (RED) and build on our shared history of using merchandise and digital collectables to combat the most important human rights issues of our time,” said Gould.

According to Greg Sheps, the Head of Business Development at (RED), on-chain art is seen as an innovative means of fundraising.
