http://Feature.io , an entertainment studio based in Los Angeles, has announced the development of a new interactive media experience called “Lollipop”.
The project is set to be an innovative Web3 multimedia car racing experience built on the Ethereum scaling network Polygon.
The team behind Lollipop includes “The Fast and Furious” co-writer and “Suicide Squad” writer/director David Ayer, who will serve as the project’s writer and executive producer. Chris Long, the producer of Ayer’s film “The Tax Collector” and the “Mr. Mercedes” TV series, is also attached to the project as an executive.
One unique aspect of Lollipop is its use of Polygon-based NFTs. However, http://Feature.io ‘s CEO Steven Ilous prefers to refer to them as “digital collectibles” due to the negative connotations often associated with the term NFT.
Details about the project remain scarce, but the involvement of Ayer and his experience in creating high-octane action scenes has generated excitement among fans.
Ilous himself came up with the concept for Lollipop and pitched it to Ayer, who was reportedly “definitely a fan of the technology.” As an entertainment studio that aims to push the boundaries of interactive media, Feature’s decision to leverage the blockchain technology of NFTs reflects the industry’s growing interest in exploring new ways of engaging with audiences.
By building Lollipop on Polygon, Feature’s also aims to address the issue of high transaction fees and slow processing times often associated with NFTs on the Ethereum network. The use of Polygon’s scaling technology should provide a seamless and immersive experience for users, allowing them to fully engage with the digital collectibles that will be an integral part of Lollipop.
Overall, Lollipop represents an exciting new direction for interactive media experiences, and its development by a team of industry veterans led by Ayer and Long is sure to generate interest among fans of high-octane action scenes and cutting-edge blockchain technology.
