Community approves ApeCoin plan to fund 24-hour BAYC news site

The Bored Ape Gazette is a 24-hour news site about Yuga Labs, the company that made the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), and the APE DAO. ApeCoin (APE), the native currency of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) ecosystem, will be used to pay for the Bored Ape Gazette.
The plan, called AIP-70, was approved by the neighborhood on Thursday. It calls for improving the news site with some of the project’s budget for environmental improvements. The total cost of keeping the Bored Ape Gazette website up and running for the first year is expected to be $150,000.

The ApeCoin Foundation will now focus on putting the idea into action in a way that follows the rules for DAO governance.

On the website, there is an ApeCoin price chart, a DAO tracker that keeps track of governance votes, an APE calendar, and a live sales ticker that shows what’s going on with all Yuga Labs products.

When ApeCoin and its DAO began in March, all Yuga Labs NFT token holders got a free copy of the APE token.

APE has gone up by 11.9 percent in the last day and is now worth $6.54. This is still a long way from its record high of $26.19 on April 28, before it fell due to pressure from the wider cryptocurrency market and less interest in the NFT market.
