Elvis Block Party aims for Metaverse’s most Elvis impersonators

Fans will be able to take part in and shape the future of Elvis on the Blockchain.
As part of the Elvis-On-Chain plan and NFT drop, Run It Wild has teamed up with Elvis Presley Enterprises to try to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most Elvis impersonators in Decentraland, one of the biggest metaverses. In February, you can sign up at events.decentraland.org for the GWR Elvis Block Party Decentraland event. Follow @elvisoncchain to find out what’s going on right now.

The current GWR record for most Elvis impersonators is 895, which was set in Cherokee, North Carolina, in 2014. The Elvis Block Party in Decentraland will try to beat that record by having the most Elvis impersonators ever.

“The Elvis Block Party will be the first and biggest party of its kind in Decentraland. Katie Jones, SVP of Entertainment at Authentic Brands Group (ABG), the company that owns Elvis Presley Enterprises and Iconoverse, says that the metaverse has no limits and gives fans of “The King of Rock and Roll” new ways to share their love for “The King of Rock and Roll” on a large scale. In-person events, on the other hand, are limited by distance and travel.

The Elvis Block Party’s hopes and dreams

Elvis fans from all over the world will come to the Elvis Block Party to celebrate The King of Rock & Roll’s music, dancing, clothes, cars, movies, and lasting legacy. The party will be in a place called Decentraland. Through an airdrop, participants will be able to get Elvis-themed things to wear, like a wig and a costume. An official GWR adjudicator will announce the record based on the important rules for the world’s first that have been set.

The Elvis Block Party in Decentraland is part of a larger Elvis-On-Chain plan to give fans ownership rights to Elvis’ vault and direct access to it. This puts the power in the hands of fans while keeping Presley’s legacy alive forever.

Important Elvis Genesis NFTs

Buyers of the 1935 unique Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will not only get their own Elvis-themed Decentraland wearables, but they will also be able to vote on future releases from the vault and change Elvis’s future on the blockchain. There are clothes, records, cars, jewels, and digital works of art that have never been seen before in the Elvis vault.

A members-only Discord will offer voting rights for upcoming collections, special events, and the chance to talk with other fans who like the same things.

Putting on display things that belonged to Elvis

Some of the money made from the NFT drop will be used to buy Elvis-related items, which will be checked on-chain. The memorabilia will be shown at NFT exhibits, pop-up shops, and online and offline galleries.

Elvis Genesis Keys owners will be able to get both real and virtual tickets to these showcases and will also be able to vote on what memorabilia is bought and where it is shown.

This way to collect memorabilia also makes it possible to share ownership of these legendary assets on-chain in the future. This would give people who own Genesis NFT early access to collectibles that they wouldn’t have been able to buy on their own.

“These NFTs give superfans a lot of new ways to connect with each other in a deeper, more intentional way. Adam De Cata, the director of Run It Wild, said that letting fans vote on what happens to Elvis’ vault “puts the power back in the hands of fans and gives them a more personal fan club experience on-chain.”

The NFTs were inspired by the sparkling lights of “ELVIS,” which became famous in his legendary ’68 Comeback Special, which first aired on December 3, 1968. This is a moment that most people consider to be the high point of his career.

Each Elvis on-chain NFT will be unique and can be used in different ways. Changes in the color and brightness of bulbs make them rare and one-of-a-kind. Each lightbulb from the lighting set for the 1968 Comeback Special has been carefully copied on a chain and will continue to shine forever.

Run It Wild (RIW) has made a deal with Guinness World Records (GWR) for the most Elvis impersonators in Decentraland. Depending on the final terms of the GWR-RIW contract, Elvis-on-chain will give the GWR Adjudicator the most important criteria he or she needs to set the highest record.

The GWR Elvis Block Party Decentraland event will happen on February 28, 2022. At events.decentraland.org, you can find out more.
