Snoop Dogg has put in new trademark applications for NFT and Metaverse

Snoop Dogg is an American musician who has applied for new trademarks for many things in the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and metaverse areas.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, applied for the trademarks UNCLE SNOOP and UNCLE SNOOP’S with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on June 14.

Michael Kondoudis, a registered trademark attorney, tweeted about the application on June 20. He said it would include clothes, headgear, shoes, virtual cannabis and smoking items, markets for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and digital collectibles.

Notably, if the proposal is approved, the singer will be able to sell smoking accessories, pre-rolled hemp cigarettes, energy drinks, and NFT tokens that relate to digital or physical things.

Snoop Dogg is one of the famous people who has worked with many producers since the beginning of NFTs and the metaverse to support them.

For example, the rapper owns Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs and has worked on projects like The Sandbox on Ethereum and Clay Nation on Cardano.

Notably, NFTs are a way for artists to get money in addition to streaming fees. Artists could use blockchain technology to manage their prices, get royalties, and talk to their loyal fans at the same time.

In addition to musicians, big names in sports are also interested in the metaverse realm. Finbold had said before that NBA star Kevin Durant, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets, has entered the NFT space.

Durant made 26 NFT and metaverse apps so that his followers could buy and sell both downloadable and unique NFTs, NFT-backed media, and crypto-collectibles on NFT and crypto markets.

No matter who they are, well-known global companies are using the NFT area to talk to their fans. One of the most watched sports leagues in the world, the English Premier League (EPL), has an application in the works to sell digital tokens, digital collectibles, and digital trading cards, among other things.
