The SPFL

To make clear, the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) is the national men’s football league in Scotland. It has 4 sections: the Premiership, Championship, League 1 and 2. To explain, for this drop, users can just buy NFTs from the Premiership.

The Premiership saw Celtic became championship for the 2021-22 season, making it their tenth League win in 11 years. Actually, they were the only ones to blame for their rival, Rangers’ historic 55 leagues win last season. Historically, Rangers and Celtic, who make up the “Old Firm” or “Glasgow Derby”, have been dominant, with Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, and Motherwell often challenging for third-sixth place with European football motivations in play.

In addition, the current season, Rangers made a major European move by reaching the Europa League final, UEFA’s second-tier competition of European club football. They just lost in penalties against Eintracht Frankfurt in Sevilla.
