Epic Games Alum Mike Seavers Will Join Web3 Giant Yuga Labs as CTO

Mike Seavers, a former executive vice president of development at Epic Games, the company that created Fortnite, will join Yuga Labs on May 22 as its chief technical officer.

Approximately four months had passed since Yuga Labs appointed Daniel Alegre, a seasoned Activision Blizzard executive, as its new CEO.

Miami-based The notable non-fungible token (NFT) collections Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks, the Otherside metaverse, and the ApeCoin token (APE) are all products of Web3 titan Yuga Labs.

While the crypto winter has exerted some pressure on NFT prices in general, the market continues to attract investment and interest, and Yuga Labs is one of the key participants.

Seavers will assume the position of chief technology officer currently held by co-founder Kerem Atalay, who will continue to serve as a strategic advisor. Seavers served as the CTO of Riot Games, the developer of Valorant and League of Legends, until 2021, when he joined Epic Games.
