The $15 NFT is marketed as “your ticket to the House of Lee” and was developed in partnership with the Bruce Lee Foundation.

Thanks to a new partnership with Shibuya, an NFT-driven video platform, the Bruce Lee Foundation will establish a Web3 presence for the late, legendary martial artist and actor.

On Tuesday, the plans were teased on social media with a classic video interview segment of Lee, in which he transforms from live footage to an anime-style representation.

Shibuya will release an open edition Ethereum NFT today at 11 a.m. ET. This means that anyone can buy as many as they want before the mint ends. Each one will cost 0.008 ETH, or about $15.

The “House of Lee: Genesis” NFT features hand-drawn artwork of Lee created by Emily “pplpleasr” Yang in collaboration with Shannon Lee, the late icon’s daughter and originator and president of the Bruce Lee Foundation.

According to the Manifold mint page, the NFT is marketed as “your ticket to the House of Lee,” but its future utility or intentions have yet to be disclosed.

In recent months, open edition NFTs have been very popular. This is partly because their prices are usually low, but it’s also because gamification techniques are used to get collectors to buy and even burn (or destroy forever) multiple editions in exchange for rewards.

With the recent “Dominion X: Level 2” series, made by musician Steve Aoki and actor Seth Green’s Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, NFT owners could decide on how each new stop-motion animated segment should end.

In December, Shibuya said that Andreessen Horowitz and Variant Fund had led a $6.9 million seed round.
