Razer, which makes the best gaming gear on the market, has put out a call for Web3 games through its venture capital arm, zVentures.
Razer, an American and Singaporean company that produces consumer electronics for gamers, has put out a call for new Web3 partners and game entries. Razer is best known for its gaming accessories and gear.
In a blog post on the zVentures website, Razer talks about how it wants to involve developers more by pointing out that the market wants high-quality games made with blockchain technology.
The blog post says that “We believe that the foundation of any successful game (be it Web 2.0 or Web 3.0) is immersive and engaging gameplay. many blockchain games on the market today focus primarily on utilizing blockchain technology rather than creating an engaging and enjoyable gameplay experience, resulting in a lack of player interest and retention.”
The blog post notes that “gameplay experience first,” as well as submissions from established industry veterans with a proven track record in creating “successful Web 2.0 games as they transition to incorporating blockchain technology and enter the Web 3.0 ecosystem.”
About Razer
Razer’s zVentures was started in 2016 to encourage growth and new ideas in the gaming industry, which some experts say is worth more than $300 billion around the world. In comparison, the global blockchain market is expected to hit $100 billion by 2028 if the estimated CAGR of 55.8% is true. Big IT companies moving into the area should help blockchain gaming grow. Some of them are IBM, Intel, and Amazon Web Services.
zVentures states that the incubator is looking for projects from both new developers who put “gameplay experience first” and experienced professionals who have made “successful Web 2.0 games as they move to using blockchain technology and enter the Web 3.0 ecosystem.”
