Samsung is all about the Metaverse concept. Following releasing virtual worlds in Decentraland, ZEPETO, and Roblox previously in the current year, Samsung revealed at Galaxy Unpacked 2022 that it will shortly announce its own island in the Fortnite Metaverse.
Samsung’s Fortnite metaverse island, named “Smart City,” celebrates the release of the company’s recent foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Fortnite’s players who visit Samsung’s island can experience and interact with Samsung products in a virtual environment.
Samsung Latin America states the Smart City is “not only about entertainment, but above all about discovering and building relationships.” “Either way, it has gameplay elements and Easter egg hunts for in-game loot.
Hunting for new in-game loots will begin next week
The explorable virtual space includes structural elements, like buildings, bridges, and spotlights which resemble Samsung’s new foldable phones and The Freestyle projector. Smart City opens on August 18 in the Fortnite Metaverse.
In terms of gameplay, Samsung’s Smart City in the Fortnite Metaverse will be a part of the Z Series Fun Game Quest. The game encourages players to play hide-and-seek games and find the new hidden Galaxy Z Fold 4 in-game item. As holding the Z Fold 4 in the possession of characters, players can activate features like Nightography, that gives them enhanced night vision in the game world.
Samsung’s new foldable phones promise brighter and better sensors, better night photography, and many other wonderful new features and upgrades, bigger batteries, and higher build quality. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are accessible for pre-order in most markets with starting prices of $999 and $1,799.
At Unpacked 2022, Samsung announced a new pair of wireless headphones with advanced Intelligent ANC, plus a couple of new Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatches, involving a Pro model with a battery big enough to last up to 80 hours on a full charge.
