The Sports Sector Fans adore the Metaverse

As the first round of sales ends this week, the founders of The Sports Metaverse say they are “amazed” at how many people have already bought a plot of land.

Alexi Yovanoff told The Voice earlier this year that he and his team were thrilled to finish a project they had been working on for many years.

The Sports Metaverse is the first virtual world that is only about sports. It was made by SportsIcon.

Yovanoff said that the organization wants to give sports fans a unique virtual experience with some of their favorite athletes.

The news came soon after SportsIcon said it would work with UFC champion Amanda Nunes, who will offer personal training in the Metaverse.

Technavio, a global market research firm, did an independent study this week that showed the metaverse’s real estate market is expected to be worth more than $5 billion by 2026. This is good news for the space industry.

Yovanoff said, “We have been working on this for a while. This is the first time in history that the best athletes, sports companies, and sports teams are all in the same place.

“And this sports Metaverse, which we’ve been building in secret for many, many months, is all about how athletes and fans interact with each other.

“Since it started in 2020, this has been the company’s guiding principle. It’s all about making players and fans feel more connected.

“We’re excited to work with Amanda, who is not only a great UFC fighter but also a lovely person.

“We recently shot with her in Washington, D.C. to get the volumetrics we need to make someone in the Metaverse.

So, for those inside, it will be a very immersive experience. It’s a 3D setting with a 3D version of Amanda that you can interact with.

“She will talk about her career, give some advice, and show a few dance moves. Some shadow boxing, etc., and some advice, just to make it as interesting as possible for those who want to watch it.”

Since the brand’s partnership with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku was announced, Nunes is just one of many famous athletes who have joined SportsIcon.

The Metaverse is being built quickly, even though most people still don’t know how the virtual world could help them.

Yovanoff, on the other hand, says they are building it because people will go there.

“With blockchain technology, we can make the experience more real.

“It will come to life more and more, and there will be a lot more mixing of IRL (in the real world) and digital blockchain content; one will continue to seep into the other.”

Working with important backers like Roham Gharegozlou, founder of Dapperlabs, NBA Top Shot, and Flow, Chad Hurley, founder of YouTube, and Andrew Masanto, co-founder of Hedera, Reserve, and NFT.com, this project’s credibility is not in question.

On July 28, at 5 p.m. UK time, the current deal on the Sports Metaverse website will end.
