The bank in South Korea, KEB Hana, has joined the Sandbox

The Sandbox said that KEB Hana Bank, a South Korean bank, would be joining their well-known metaverse. Only four months earlier, the British bank HSBC had joined The Sandbox ecosystem.

Hana Bank was founded in 1967. It is considered Korea’s best bank because it has the most valuable assets and offers a wide range of foreign exchange products. Hana Bank’s entrance into The Sandbox is part of a country-wide effort to boost international business, especially in the Korean banking sector.

KED Hana and The Sandbox will work together on a business plan and build a virtual branch of the bank in the metaverse game. This will let players buy plots of digital land and make money from them. The virtual branch will offer basic banking services, advice on investments, and other KED Hana financial products and services.

The Hana Financial Group is also growing its presence in K-Verse, a virtual world with Korean content that helps companies connect with younger customers. Jung Kin, Deputy President of KEB Hana Bank, says that people will experience Web3 through the metaverse, and the bank is excited to be a part of this “new trend.”

South Korea has promised to invest millions of dollars in Web3 and the metaverse, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the country’s biggest bank is growing in a top metaverse.

The size of the Sandbox Metaverse is growing.

The Sandbox is a decentralized metaverse built on the Ethereum blockchain. It has 166,000 plots of digital land that users can use to build things and make money. Even though the crypto market is in a bear market, a lot of companies and brands are still coming to The Sandbox. Here are some of the stories from this month.

Keith Grossman, the president of TIME Magazine, said at NFT.NYC in June that the company was working with The Sandbox to make a virtual TIME Square in the metaverse. They want to set up a place where people can talk to each other, look at art, and do business.

And last week, there were two big news stories about The Sandbox. First, the famous skateboarder Tony Hawk is making the largest virtual skatepark in the world in that metaverse. The skatepark will be built on 36 pieces of land that don’t really exist. Hawk said that he has always been interested in new technology and that the idea of putting a skatepark in the metaverse was interesting to him.

Playboy has said that a “MetaMansion” will be built in The Sandbox. Sandbox users and people who own the Playboy Rabbitars NFT set will be able to get into the MetaMansion when it opens at a date that has not yet been set.

As more and more companies and brands move into The Sandbox to make money off of the metaverse, it seems like a good idea to have a bank or two. After HSBC, KED Hana is the second bank to have a presence in the pixelated virtual world.
