Indegene announced on Wednesday that it had joined The Metaverse Standards Forum in order to encourage sharing of knowledge and contributions to open metaverse standards that are relevant to the healthcare industry.
A news release from the company says that the Metaverse Standards Forum brings together top standards organizations and businesses to work on the interoperability standards that are needed to make the open metaverse.
The forum’s founding members include Microsoft, Meta, Nvidia, Adobe, Alibaba, Epic Games, Unity, the World Web Consortium, and the XR Association. Khronos Group is in charge of it (XRA). The message said, “Indegene became a Principal Member when he joined the forum.
The company that focuses on technology-based healthcare solutions said that open standards make it possible for all metaverse implementations to be the same and can help spread technology to a wide range of demographics.
“Ingene will share what it knows about the information standards used in healthcare and how well they can be used in the larger metaverse standards that The Metaverse Standards Forum and its members are making. In a statement, the company said that this project will benefit a lot from Indegene’s experience with using standards in real-world life sciences use cases.

Tarun Mathur, the CTO of Indegene, said on Wednesday that the company’s contribution to The Metaverse Standards Forum is meant to speed up the adoption of enterprise-scale metaverses and create an immersive environment for the healthcare industry.
At its Indegene Digital Summit thought leadership conference on September 22 and 23, 2022, Indegene will also host a panel on the metaverse.
