Yuga Labs cautions of ‘persistent threat group’ aiming at NFT owners

The caution appears only days after hackers risked the website of Premint NFT, making more than 300 NFTs and $375,000 of Ether.

Not the first, not the last

The month furthermore saw two authorized Discord groups correlated to BAYC and OtherSide NFTs were risked, authorizing scammers to share several phishing links into the official BAYC, Mutant Ape Yacht Club and OtherSide groups on discord.

Premint NFT website hacked

Yuga Labs’ new notification appears only days after warning actors hacked prominent NFT outlet Premint NFT, snatching nearly 314 NFTs and $375,000 in Ether (ETH), giving rise to it one of the biggest NFT hacks in 2022.

Premint is an NFT whitelisting assistance that enables NFT artists admission a big number of verified NFT collectors rapidly, whitelisting them for recent NFT programs. The NFT assistance outlet praises more than 12,000 NFT programs and a database of more than 2.4 million collectors.

Regarding blockchain security company Certik, the theft happened on Sunday after hackers put vicious code into Premint’s website.

The code established a pop-up that provoked users to assess their wallet possession but instead gave hackers the approvals crucial for them to transport NFTs from their victim’s wallets.
