Hacker aimed NFT Artist DeeKay’s Twitter, rubs NFTs Worth $150K

Celebrated NFT artist and animator, DeeKay Kwon is the latest loser of a Twitter hack. On Friday, July 15, a hacker risked the artist’s Twitter to publish a phishing link.

Many of DeeKay’s supporters were a loser to the cheating and ratified a nasty agreement that trickled into their wallets, the hacker stole about $150,000 price of digital properties from many losers.

On Friday, a hacker hacked known NFT artist, DeeKay’s Twitter account. The hacker then published a phishing link to a fraudulent website for the artist’s almost 180,000 followers. 

“Yesterday was possibly one of the terrible occasions I have had since I joined web3,” DeeKay tweeted on Saturday. “My Twitter was hacked, and the hacker has been tweeting a fraud mint site. I countered to it as soon as possible and distribute the word but could not stop the damage in time.”

As usual in such phishing invasions, the hacker published a link to a new, restricted NFT collection from the artist. “The LetsWalk Collection Airdrop is presently live! Only 1,000 fortunate people can contend! Good luck!”, the post read. 

many of DeeKay’s followers thought the post and continued to the fraud website that mimicked the artist’s official site. While attempting to allege the NFTs on the site, the losers authorized marketing awarding the hacker admission to their wallets. Finally, the hAcker snatched NFTs rated $150,000 from the victims. 

One victim, named CryptOmid.eth, missed 4 Cool Cats and three Azuki NFTs. They clicked the indication button doubly. By the moment they realized this was “shady”, it was too late.

In a thread, DeeKay clarified that his Two-factor authentication (2FA) for Twitter was seemingly off for a particular time. The hacker seized the benefit of this and hacked his account.

Considerably, the hacker was well ready. Regarding DeeKay, the hacker created the fraud mint site couple of weeks before the hack.

They possibly researched the times the artist was sluggish as well, the artist showed he was hacked within a minute.
