Immutable X, the best Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, has teamed up with Kolex, a popular NFT collectibles platform, to give ApeCoin DAO token holders 100,000 free NFTs. APE has been whitelisted on Immutable X’s Layer 2 protocol, which means that all NFTs can now be priced in $APE. This will make it easier for the community to do transactions.
This is a continuation of Immutable’s May 2022 AIP Idea: Immutable X will be ApeCoin DAO’s Trusted Layer 2 Scaling Partner, and the Immutable X protocol will be used to build Otherside, the Bored Ape Yacht Club metaverse. Since ApeCoin DAO chose to stay on Ethereum, Immutable X is excited to keep building trust in the community by working with Kolex to give its community free NFTs.
On Wednesday, August 3, at 9:00 AM PST, anyone with $APE in their wallet as of Monday, August 1 at 9:00 AM PST will be able to get a free NFT pack. The time for making a claim is seven days. $APE holders can mint their free NFT at https://apesonl2.com (going live later this month). After the free minting period, all fees and sales of NFTs on the secondary market will be donated to a charity chosen by the ApeCoin DAO community. During the claim time, 100,000 NFTs will be available. After that, any unclaimed NFTs will be auctioned, with the money going to a charity chosen by the DAO, or burned if anything is left after 30 days.
