Reports say that the company is thinking about giving certain software and cash to other companies to get them to join the Web3 market. The Korea Jongang Daily says that the $380 million investment is part of Korea’s plan to get to the top of the Web3 race.
Since 2018, Dunmoo has put about 67 million dollars into companies that work with blockchain. In a statement, Lee Sirgu, the CEO of Dunamoo, said:
“We want to improve the competitiveness of U.S. industries by investing in and creating jobs in future-looking industries like blockchain, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and the metaverse.”
The huge financial company wants to build offices in important cities across the country and offer training programs to bring more people into the Web3 ecosystem. The goal of the initiative is to start 500 new businesses, with a focus on recent college graduates. Cointelegraph asked Dunamu for a comment, but it didn’t respond right away.
Dunmoo’s announcement that it will put a lot of money into the Web3 ecosystem comes just a few months after the country’s leaders did a thorough investigation. In the beginning of this year, the Securities and Exchange Commission took action against bitcoin exchange companies for interfering with their market exclusivity.
