After selling his Never Fear Truth NFTs a few weeks after winning the defamation trial against Amber Heard, actor Johnny Depp recently gave a large amount (about $800,000) to four children’s hospitals in Los Angeles that were connected to his ex-wife. On Twitter, Depp’s NFT community confirmed the news and gave the names of the people who got the money.
In another tweet, the Never Fear Truth community said, “We are grateful and very thankful to the Never Fear Truth community for this great achievement, which makes this project one of the most charitable NFT sales to date. We are excited to build on this success and make an even bigger difference in the future.”
Even though Heard didn’t follow through on her 2016 promise to give $7 million from her divorce settlement with Depp to a children’s hospital, as was revealed during the defamation trial, the 59-year-old actor’s kind act continues to win over fans on the internet.
Heard, on the other hand, had to pay her ex-husband $10.5 million in damages and was also given $2 million by the court. The latest news is that Heard’s lawyers have challenged the court’s decision and asked for a new trial, saying that the evidence doesn’t support the conviction.
In a recent interview, Heard talked about the jury and how they made their decision “I can’t say they’re wrong. I genuinely get it. He is a well-known person, and a lot of people think they know him. He does a great job on stage.”
