Timbaland, a Grammy-winning producer and performer, has done exactly that with his Bored Ape. When Timbaland bought the Ape, it was just called Bored Ape #590. The ape is now called Congo, and he is fighting with the famous musician.
Timbaland is not the first person in the music business to use non-traditional instruments, but he may be the first to fully realize his Bored Ape. So, what has he been doing to “beef” with Congo?
Timbaland said that Congo told him he would teach him “how to make it for 2022 and on.” This could mean that the old ways of making music won’t work in the future.
Timbaland is older than Congo, so it makes sense that Congo is older. “We’re different because we don’t die.” We are still in the metaverse, a different universe. […] You had your chance, so I’ll show you what’s next,” Congo is said to have told Timbaland.
What they are getting ready
Even though people were angry, the two are still working on new songs and videos that will be released under Congo’s name. The first video, “Has A Meaning,” will be made and directed by Timbaland’s protege, Zayd Portillo. Timbaland seems to play two main CGI characters in the video, which was made entirely with the Unreal technology.
Everyone involved in the project thinks this will be a turning point not only for NFTs but also for pop culture as a whole. “The first step to creativity is starting.” Just going forward. Timbaland said in a press release, “If we believed in rules, this video would not exist.”
Congo’s first song was available on glass.xyz on June 30, and music video viewers can get an MP3 of the song through an AirDrop. Later that day, the NFT went online, and a 100-edition mint will happen at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
