Binance, a place to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, is working with Khaby Lame, the most-followed creator on TikTok, to spread the word about Web3. The influencer would promote the exchange all over the world and clear up any misconceptions about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
Lame got 142 million followers on TikTok because of his videos that made fun of DIY content developers who made things too hard. He gives funny advice that makes life easier while raising both hands, which is his signature move.
Binance said that Lame’s main way of writing content would be to debunk myths about Web3. James Rothwell, an executive at Binance, says that Lame will help people connect as Web3 use grows. Rothwell said more:
Because Web3 and disinformation in the world are so complicated, having Khaby on board to help clear up some of the lies in this area was a great idea.
In a statement, Tiktoker said that he has been interested in Web3 for a while. Lame says that working with Binance “fits well” with what he usually does, which is to make hard things easier to understand and more fun. He said, “I think of my fans as my family, and I’m always looking for new challenges and interesting things to share with them.”
Aside from posting about Web3 and debunking rumors, the TikTok star will work with Binance to make collections of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) with the goal of getting his followers more involved.
Binance hired the TikTok star because the company has been trying to work with well-known people. Last week, Binance worked with the soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo to give his fans access to the Web3 realm through NFTs. KPMG joins the metaverse and spends $30 million to train its Web3 workers.
