NFT New York City (NFT.NYC) organized a three-day conference which gathered the NFT community together in New York City for discussions, talks, and workshops from June 20 to 23, 2022. This program was attractive and successful. Nevertheless, it airdropped a virus to people.
Numerous sources have reported that countless participants developed the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after the event. Many Twitter users share their testimonies about the situation, and there is a public call for everyone to attend the event to carry out the COVID test.
Earlier on June 18, a verified user, Satvik Sethi, called on the public to say that those with Covid or Covid-like symptoms should not attend the NFT.NYC event for the benefit of all. “It does not matter if you are masking up or waiting for others to be vaccinated,” he added. “There are immunocompromised individuals, and vaccinated individuals can still become carriers who could give it to their family members or others in the community. Be responsible and do not be selfish.”
NFT.NYC is the biggest NFT conference worldwide. The current year’s event shows over 15,000 enthusiastic artists and over 1,500 speakers at several venues in the heart of New York. Jodee Rich, co-founder of NFT.NYC, stated that he came up with the idea of launching NFT.NYC in 2018 while dining with Devin Finzer, co-founder and CEO of OpenSea.
