Web3 startup fooled people by hiring fake snoop Dogg at New York NFT conference

In a world popular for copies and conspiracy, people might be predicted to be on great warning for deception but NFT enthusiasts had the thread on their eyes by a fake Snoop Dogg at a big committee in New York City this week.

Fair. xyz—a startup established by designers from Meta, Instagram, and Goldman Sachs that intends to “ create the nicest customer properties in Web3” employed a Snoop Dogg look like to drum up advertising for their brand at the NFT.NYC committee on Tuesday, the Guardian announced.

The fraud was called “Doop Snogg” and, with the assistance of a fake mustache, fake safety protector, and borrowed Cadillac Escalade SUV, adopted the persona of the rapper, leading to the committee that has been named “the Super Bowl of NFTs.”

Fans were tricked, with passers on the city streets and NFT fans at the incident crowding around “Doop” to bring a perspective of the man they thought to be the popular NFT loving rapper.
