Hublot, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, just announced that its 200 new limited-edition watches can now be bought online through BitPay using cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu and Bitcoin. Hublot said in a tweet that this way of paying can only be used by people who buy from the Hublot United States eBoutique.
BitPay, a company that processes cryptocurrency payments, said that Shiba Inu, a meme cryptocurrency, would be supported by the end of 2021. This means that SHIB can be spent at hundreds of BitPay shops that accept Shiba Inu. BitPay accepts Shiba Inu as well as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin, and the other five USD-pegged stablecoins (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDC and USDP).
Other high-end fashion brands and businesses have recently said that they will accept bitcoins as payment for goods. Tag Heuer, a Swiss company that makes high-end wristwatches, and Continental Diamond, a jewelry store in St. Louis Park, have both said that they will accept cryptocurrencies through BitPay.
Gucci, a high-end fashion house, said in May that some of its stores in North America will start accepting Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies.
The Shib Burn Twitter account says that in the last 24 hours, about 216,301,162 SHIB tokens have been burned in 15 transactions. The Shibburn website says that the rate at which Shiba Inus burn calories has gone up by 134%.
The Shiba Inu token burn is a community-wide campaign that reduces the number of Shiba Inu tokens in order to make them seem more valuable. U.Today has already said that the Amazon-related SHIB burner used more than 70 million SHIB at the beginning of the week.
At the time of publication, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00001. This was up 30 percent in the last 24 hours and 14.31 percent in the last week.
