0x516358 has put in a new bid for 175 ETH ($217,087.50 USD) on Punk 9129. Who do you think paid for it? Gary Vee has, in fact, bought it. On June 14, he bought a Punk, which surprised everyone.
Gary Vee has shown off CryptoPunk items that are worth a whopping $10 million. He went on Logan Paul’s show, where he talked about the blockchain and Web3 in general. He also said that he had 62 CryptoPunk tokens in his possession. “CryptoPunks is probably the most sure thing I have invested in,” he said.
At the time this was written, a single CryptoPunk was worth $175k, and if you were the first person to make one, it would be worth 61.49 ETH, or $175k.
Gary could make $10.85 million if he sold all of his 62 CryptoPunks at the floor price, but he almost certainly has some rarer pieces that are worth much more than that.
But well-known entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk could have made a lot more money if he had sold his.
He said that in the beginning, it was important for him to find a different point of view.
Vaynerchuk said, “I would purposely look for the opposite view on Twitter because I think what ends up happening is that people buy something they like, and then it almost becomes an echo chamber.”
“A lot of people have most of their net worth locked up in their tokens, and that scares the crap out of me,” he said, advising investors to spread out their cryptocurrency investments.
Vaynerchuk said that you shouldn’t make decisions based on short-term financial arbitrage.
Gary Vaynerchuk, the CEO of VaynerMedia, was one of the first people to invest in big internet companies like Facebook, Venmo, and Twitter. The main office of VaynerMedia is in San Francisco. The media mogul now believes in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and has more than 1,000 of them, including 63 CryptoPunks.
