This week, Elon Musk will talk to Twitter Inc. employees for the first time since he announced his $44 billion plan in April, a source said Monday, citing an email from Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal to staff.
The meeting is set for Thursday, and the source says that Musk will answer direct questions from Twitter staff.
Business Insider was the first to report on the news. It comes after Twitter said last week that shareholders will vote on the sale in early August.
A Twitter representative said that Musk will be at the company’s all-hands meeting this week.
Since Musk tried to take over Twitter, some Twitter employees have said they are afraid that the billionaire’s unpredictable behavior could make the social media platform less stable and hurt its finances.
In April, Agrawal was seen calming down angry employees at a company-wide meeting. The meeting was called because employees wanted to know how management planned to handle a mass exodus caused by Musk.
Musk told Twitter last week that he would back out of his plan to buy the company if it didn’t give him information about spam and fake accounts.
