A metaverse project that would act as a digital hub for creators lets the community explore its metaverse city and see an early version of what it wants to become.
Last week, an event was held in DEIP’s metaverse. DEIP is a Web3 protocol for the creator economy. DEIP CEO and co-founder Alex Shkor gave a speech and served as a virtual tour guide.
Shkor said that the area was built to give producers more power and help them get in touch with each other. Shkor said this:
“We were keen to create the space where creators could meet each other, collaborate and learn more about the latest technological developments enabling the transition towards the decentralized creator economy.”
The goal of the website is to give artists a place to learn about, value, license, and trade “intangible assets” like artworks. It also wants to move data storage from centralized publishers to a decentralized network, giving authors more control over their work. Aside from that, DEIP wants to help artists make more money.
The Shkor says that the environment was made by the Arhead Metaverse ecosystem, the Balagan creative agency, and the Atrium architecture company. The team worked with Near Protocol and the Octopus network to make its ecosystem bigger.
A blue balloon dog was one of the most interesting things at the event. Shkor said that this was Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dog (Blue), a real sculpture that was turned into digital art for the event.
Hosting an event in a metaverse is an interesting step forward, but the event also showed that metaverses are still in their early stages.
Even though the market is bad, metaverse tokens are still doing well. A Kraken Intelligence study found that digital assets related to the metaverse outpaced other token categories by 400% year over year.
