Rappers Jim Jones and Migos released a video of “We Set The Trends” with NFT art in the metaverse game Decentraland. As stated in Decentraland’s official tweet, this new video was released on June 2 at 10 pm in the Metaverse Theater.
“We Set The Trends” features animation by 15 different NFT artists, said EddieVisual, the video’s creative director. Most importantly, several Bored Ape Yacht Club avatars appear in Jim Jones’s recent Web3 project.
The initial 1,000 gamers who visited the Metaverse Theater to see “We Set The Trends” won a special wearable NFT. Decentraland says these lucky visitors will have priority access to mint a “We Set The Trends” NFT as well later the current month.
If players missed the first show of the event, they could still visit Decentraland to see the recent partnership between Jim Jones and Migos. Latest reports suggest that the video will run until June 10 in Decentraland’s Metaverse Theater. The team behind this video also launched a Discord channel for news on upcoming NFT releases’.
Excitingly, the P2P platform Limewire backed Decentraland’s NFT video “We Set The Trends”. As Rarity Sniper lately reported, Limewire contracted with Universal Music Band to expand its own NFT market.
Many in the music industry have rapidly adapted to Web3 innovations such as NFTs and the metaverse. Like Jim Jones and Migos, musicians appear to be interested in using these technologies to create new sources of revenue and better interact with fans.
A few months before the “We Set The Trends” announcement, Snoop Dogg released the world’s initial music video taken in a metaverse. The famous Cali-born rapper used tools in The Sandbox to make a movie version of his new song “House I Built”.
And this is only one of the many Web3 innovations that Snoop Dogg has introduced to the music industry. Last year, the Doggfather promised to turn Death Row Records into an all-NFT studio, and he has cooperated with DJ Steve Aoki and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus on NFT music.
Though Snoop Dogg is one of the most prolific musicians in the world of Metavars, numerous other artists are creating in this new field. The Chainsmokers, for instance, revealed the NFTs for their album So Far So Good, which rewards holders with royalty perks. Additionally, The Weekend said that he will use Web3 in his future concerts to connect with fans and help charities.
It is not possible to say how the music industry will change in the future, but Web3 has a crucial impact.
