Award-winning photographer Lynsey Addario is cooperating with MakersPlace to release her first NFT ‘From the Flames’. The major goal of this NFT is to raise awareness about the urgency of global warming and climate change in general. It is to honor those affected by the 2021 wildfires in Northern California too.
As reported by NASA, the scientific evidence for global warming is evident. Besides, human activities are responsible for the warming of the atmosphere, ocean and land. This cause global temperature growth , warming oceans, rising sea levels and other severe events. This was one of the topics of the Blockchance Conference 2021.
Pulitzer Prize-winning Lynsey Addario uses NFTs to raise awareness about climate change. His first series’ of photographs, ‘From the Flames’, shows perfectly the hard reality of climate change, especially global warming.
The NFT contains tow impactful photos captured during the 2021 California Fires. These photos were displayed at National Geographic, where one of them even appeared on the cover of National Geographic’s Year.
This NFT is currently available on NFT marketplace MakersPlace. Lynsey contains a printed and signed copy with the digital version in the buy. She will after that donate 10 percent of the whole earnings to the Wildland Firefighter Department. They are essentially a non-profit organization which helps the families of firefighters killed and injured while on duty.
