In a week, Goblintown makes more than $18 million in sales

Goblintown, a new NFT collection with animals that look like goblins, has been on fire during the current market crash. In the past week, the collection has sold nearly 10,300 ETH, which is worth more than $18 million. On Thursday, the floor price of the collection briefly went over 2 ETH.

What’s all the fuss about Goblintown?

Goblintown is a group of 10,000 NFTs that show things like trolls, dragons, wizards, bugs, and more. Last week, the collection came out with an unusual start: everyone got a free mint without any marketing or promotion.

The collection is called “Goblintown,” which is a code word for a bad time on the crypto market when the prices of digital assets are falling. The market is in “Goblintown” because almost all cryptocurrencies are trading far below their highs. This could explain why the NFT series with the same name has become so popular despite the bad market.

On its website, the collection says that it does not have a plan for how it will be used in the future. “There isn’t a map.” There won’t be any trouble. The website for the project says, “There is no use.” “Goblins did not write up the contract.” Even so, sales have gone through the roof.

Goblintown is the second most traded NFT collection on OpenSea, with nearly 10,300 ETH changing hands in the last week. Goblintown is also the second most traded NFT collection on OpenSea. In the last 24 hours, about 1,400 ETH has been traded in Goblintown.

The floor price of the collection has also gone up a lot. Even though the price of Ethereum has been going down recently, the floor price for a single Goblintown NFT briefly went over 2 Ethereum on Thursday. At the moment, the project’s floor price is 1.69 Ethereum.

As expected, the rarer NFTs in the collection are selling for a lot more money. Goblintown #8995, one of the 12 rarest NFTs in the collection, was recently sold on the NFT marketplace LooksRare for 69.42 Ethereum, or $136,207.

It’s important to note that all Goblintown NFTs are CC0, which means that the collection’s copyright is not limited in any way. So, the owners have full control over how they want to make money from their digital assets.

Who came up with the idea of Goblintown, and where did it come from?

Since the founders of the Gblintown NFT project have not yet been doxxed, no one knows who made the PFPs. Even so, many people on Twitter have tried to figure out who might be behind the project.

Some people have thought that the project might be connected to well-known collections, especially since the project is so well done overall. Some people in the NFT community think that Yuga Labs is involved, but the admins of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT Discord are said to have said that this isn’t true.

Also, most people think that Mike Judge, who made the American adult animated TV show Beavis and Butthead, had something to do with making Goblintown. “The style of art is an exact match.” He has been around more than once. One person on Twitter said, “The humor is right on.”
