Magic Johnson, the legendary basketball player, is launching a line of NFTs. NBA Top Shot will release this project by Earvin “Magic” Johnson on June 7th. There will be 1600 NFT packets available, with some of Magic’s most famous basketball moments included.

The basketball icon is a Hall of Famer and one of the NBA’s all-time greats. Magic has won five championships throughout his long and illustrious career.
Magic spent his entire NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, from 1979 to 1996. He received multiple team and individual awards, as well as broke various records. He’s also a 12-time NBA All-Star and has three Finals MVP and League MVP awards to his name.
Some of the most iconic incidents in NBA history are immortalized on the blockchain via the NFT collection.
Magic Johnson now joins the NFT with his winning mentality and massive presence. The NFT collection “Anthology: Magic Johnson” will provide fans the chance to get closer to the star and own a piece of “Magic” history.
“I’m excited to partner with @nbatopshot to release my first NFTs and bring some of my favorite moments from my career to fans everywhere,” he stated in a Tweet.
The drop will take place on June 7th and will cost $1600 per participant. With a minimum score of 150,000, 1200 of the total 1,600 Magic Johnson NFT packets will be airdropped to Top Shot players. The remaining 400, on the other hand, are open to all players, regardless of their Top Shot status or score.
One of four Magic Johnson memories will be included in each pack of NFTs. These photos are from when his Los Angeles Lakers team won the NBA Championship. A Magic Johnson Moment NFT of Rare or Legendary rarity will also be included in each bundle.
What is NBA Top Shot, exactly?
Top Shot is a digital collectible NFT platform created in collaboration with the NBA by Dapper Labs. It focuses on iconic moments in NBA history, with users receiving NFTs in “packs.” In July of this year, the platform became live on the Flow blockchain.
Since then, it has grown to become one of the major NFT platforms. Despite a recent drop in the overall market for NFTs, NBA Top Shot has lately set new records.
