Ready Games to Incorporate Gaming Into A Web3 Experience

Ready Games, founded in 2016, is prepared to reap the rewards of years of hard work to transition gaming from web2 to web3; a more decentralized gaming experience.

Ready Games will do so with the help of both the Apple and Google App stores to make the transition as smooth as possible for the ordinary mobile gamer.

They’ve raised more than $3 million through token sales of Ready’s native cryptocurrency, ‘$AURA,’ which they use to transact across the whole ecosystem. BITKRAFT, which previously invested in Ready Games in 2019, is leading the financing round alongside Hashed. Other significant funds have also taken part. Contributors include Tribe, IOSG, Spartan, Mapleblock Capital, Mulana Capital, Dweb3, Fundamental Labs, IBA, GSR, Polygon, SnackClub, and Warburg Serres.

Scott Rupp, Managing Founding Partner of BITKRAFT Ventures, believes Ready has the potential to bring gaming to Web3.

“Web3 presents a new paradigm for how games and their communities are built, distributed, and grown. It’s an exciting tech shift for all stakeholders involved, but it’s also new, daunting, and still carries significant friction for those looking to make the leap. Ready’s tools and token will make it a lot easier for mainstream devs to enter web3 gaming.”

Ethan Kim, co-founder, and partner of Hashed, shared Ready Game’s enthusiasm about its ability to deliver in a web3 environment:
“We are excited to partner with Ready in building the leading web3 mobile gaming and user-generated content ecosystem. Along with Ready’s ability to seamlessly onboard a wide spectrum of games and content, their in-depth understanding of developers, creator communities, and players will accelerate mass adoption of blockchain-based gaming.”

Since its inception in 2016, Ready’s goal has been to enable game creators to access the ever-expanding world of mobile gaming by providing development tools and initiatives that incentivize development.

After working with multiple developers and publishers on mini-games on both the Google Play Store and the Apple Store, Ready Game expected to use its 2019 funding to expand and explore new options. Ready has opted to capitalize on the rising popularity of GameFi and ‘Play to Earn’ by developing a hub that will make it simpler for mobile game makers to access web3.

Ready’s ecosystem is unique in that it offers a full range of live operations for games on-chain while also ensuring that authors follow app store rules. The ability to quickly add the $AURA token allows developers to publish a web3 compliant game while also reaching a wide audience of mobile gamers through app stores.

On the promise of quick on-chain integration, Ready CEO David Bennahum stated:

“As a lifelong gamer, I’m thrilled to offer game devs the tools and tokenomics to make it possible to quickly integrate on-chain. It’s incredibly challenging to take the complexities of web3 and make them easily accessible for game publishers: from live operations to loyalty programs and new economic models. We’re excited to see what comes next as we build this collective ecosystem together!”

Ready’s mobile games will incorporate a range of NFTs as artists are invited to build in-game styles and gadgets that can be purchased and swapped for the $AURA token. Players will also be rewarded via a ‘Play to Own’ mode, in which they will utilize the native token to buy NFT merchandise. Ready has already collaborated with huge gaming guilds such as SnackClub, which has over 5 million members and will be eager to begin playing web3 mobile games as soon as they become accessible.
