The Vatican is opening an official VR NFT gallery to democratize art. The goal of this new experience, with the participation of virtual reality company Sensorium and Humanity 2.0, the Vatican non-profit organization, is to remove boundaries which prevent humans from flourishing and collaborating.

The Vatican’s NFT gallery showcases exclusive art

The Vatican, officially Vatican City State, is a city-state in Rome, Italy. Actually, it is a holy city, particularly for the Catholic Church, and its current dates back over a thousand years. Currently, this city wants to eternalize some of this series’ as NFTs.

Humanity 2.0 plays a major role in supporting Web 3.0 at the Vatican. In addition, the chairman of the company is Father Philip Larry. It is noteworthy that he has written books on technology and artificial intelligence.

“We look forward to cooperating with Sensorium to find ways to democratize art and make it more widely accessible to people around the world, regardless of their socio-economic and geographical constraints,” Father Larry reported in a statement about the Vatican NFT gallery.

St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel are notable places in the city. Art, sculptures, and other items can be seen in this historic site. The Vatican is planning to display these artworks to people using NFTs.
